About the Campaign
For three years, local citizens have participated in successful Heads Without Beds spring campaigns. Fall 2022 marks our first-ever Heads Without Beds: Leaders Edition. This edition involves the participation of local executives and community leaders who will come together to make a difference in the lives of our region’s most vulnerable. By sleeping without their bed for just one night and finding sponsors to support their efforts, they’re helping to ensure others in our region won’t have to do without. Because every head deserves a bed.
All funds raised will support Home Again Furniture Bank, a nonprofit aiming to end furniture poverty on the Northeast Avalon. Home Again collects and redistributes gently-used furniture to men, women, children and seniors who are referred. In fewer than seven years, Home Again has furnished 2200+ homes with essential furnishings. For Tina, this meant an end to her kids sleeping at their aunties’ and grandparents’ homes – it meant a family reunited. “Life is so much better. I have a comfortable, safe home… The furniture helped us, not just with comfort, but it gave my children a place of belonging and took a lot of stress and worry off of my plate.”
