About the Campaign

For four years, people of all ages and backgrounds have participated in the annual community-wide Heads Without Beds spring campaign. Following the success of this campaign, and on the heels of the pandemic, Heads Without Beds: Leaders Edition was born in autumn 2022. The success of the inaugural Leaders Edition – thanks to the dedicated participation of executives and other community leaders – has resulted in it becoming Home Again’s second annual fundraising event.

In our leaders edition, incredible “heads” came together to make a difference in the lives of our region’s most vulnerable. By sleeping without their beds for just one night, and finding sponsors to support their efforts, these leaders helped ensure others in our region wouldn’t have to do without.

Because every head deserves a bed.

All funds raised will support Home Again Furniture Bank, a nonprofit aiming to end furniture poverty on the Northeast Avalon. Home Again collects and redistributes gently-used furniture to individuals and families who are referred. In fewer than eight years, Home Again has furnished 2800+ homes with essential furnishings. For Tina, this meant an end to her kids sleeping at their aunties’ and grandparents’ homes – it meant a family reunited.

“Life is so much better. I have a comfortable, safe home… The furniture helped us, not just with comfort, but it gave my children a place of belonging and took a lot of stress and worry off of my plate.”
